Key Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your assigned product area, aligned with LinkedIn's overarching goals.
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and user interviews to identify unmet needs and opportunities for innovation.
  • Translate high-level concepts into detailed product requirements, user stories, and specifications, ensuring clarity and feasibility for engineering teams.
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on strategic impact, user value, and technical complexity, managing a healthy backlog.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, data science, and marketing teams throughout the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch iteration.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze key product metrics to evaluate success, identify areas for improvement, and inform future product iterations.
  • Communicate product updates, performance, and strategic direction to stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for your product area, keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Mentor junior product team members and contribute to a culture of product excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within a large-scale consumer internet or SaaS company.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and ship successful products that drive significant user and business impact.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to inform product decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience collaborating effectively with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating product roadmaps, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Experience with social networking platforms, professional development tools, or online communities.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation, and data analysis tools.
