Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support ongoing cases and advisory projects.
  • Assist in drafting a variety of legal documents, including memoranda, opinions, contracts, and court filings.
  • Review and analyse legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support senior legal counsel in preparing for client meetings, presentations, and court appearances.
  • Maintain organised case files and documentation, ensuring compliance with firm standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with legal teams and administrative staff.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments, legislation, and industry trends.
  • Participate in client calls and meetings, taking detailed notes and contributing as appropriate.
  • Undertake administrative tasks as required to support the efficient operation of legal services.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Admission to the New Zealand Bar (or eligible for admission).
