Job Description
The University of Uyo is actively seeking dynamic, passionate, and highly qualified Lecturers to join our esteemed faculty across multiple disciplines. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lectures, tutorials, and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop, update, and review comprehensive course materials, syllabi, and assessment methods in line with university standards and current best practices.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses, providing constructive feedback and expert guidance.
- Conduct original, high-quality research leading to publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and academic books.
- Actively seek and apply for research grants and external funding opportunities to support scholarly activities.
- Participate in academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance for students, fostering their academic and professional growth.
- Contribute to the administrative functions of the department, faculty, and university, including serving on various committees.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay abreast of the latest advancements, pedagogical techniques, and research trends in your field of expertise.

Required Skills
- Master's Degree (M.Sc./M.A./M.Eng./LL.M.) in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-Master's teaching and/or research experience in a higher education institution.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at university level to diverse student populations.
- Strong research aptitude with evidence of scholarly publications or a clear potential for significant contributions to your field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, suitable for lecturing, presentations, and academic writing.
