Key Responsibilities
- Sort soiled linens and textiles according to type, color, and degree of soilage, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Operate commercial washing, drying, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, damage, and proper folding, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Transport clean linens to various hospital departments, including patient rooms, operating rooms, and clinics, ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including laundry equipment and storage areas.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including safety, infection control, and privacy regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs offered through the Sponsorship Program.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other hospital staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Handle chemicals and cleaning agents safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.
