As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for the efficient processing of all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest items, adhering strictly to our quality and sanitation protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, press, and fold all hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry according to established procedures and standards.
- Operate and maintain industrial laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, and ironers.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain an organized and clean laundry facility, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Monitor laundry supply levels and communicate needs for replenishment.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Handle guest items with extreme care and confidentiality.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping as required.
- Collaborate effectively with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linen.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Laundry Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions and team communication.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a commercial laundry or hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and chemicals.
- Experience working in a luxury hotel environment.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus, given the international nature of our team and guests.
