Key Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients for various dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dishwashing area, and food storage areas in accordance with health codes.
  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, blenders, and dishwashers safely and efficiently.
  • Support food service during meal times, including setting up and replenishing serving stations, and assisting with food delivery.
  • Receive, store, and organize deliveries of food and supplies, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO) and accurate inventory control.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP principles, to ensure a safe dining experience.
  • Assist with the disposal of waste and recycling in designated areas.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management to support the overall dining services function.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations and fundamental food preparation techniques.
