Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and dicing ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and sweeping/mopping floors.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned, stored, and readily available for use.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and freshness, and organizing pantry and cold storage areas.
- Help with plating and presentation of dishes as instructed by the culinary team.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
- Support the culinary team during busy service periods, ensuring timely and efficient workflow.
- Assist with waste management and recycling initiatives within the kitchen.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Be proactive in identifying tasks that need to be done and offering assistance where needed.
