Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables and fruits.
- Portion and prepare meats, poultry, and fish according to chef's instructions and recipe specifications.
- Prepare basic food items such as salads, dressings, and simple appetizers under supervision.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
- Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, and cooking equipment.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and storage of food items.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Help in the disposal of waste and recycling materials.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures rigorously.
- Support the culinary team during service hours as needed.
