Key Responsibilities
- Execute opening and closing procedures for the store, including alarm setting/disarming and securing premises.
- Manage daily cash handling, including till reconciliation, banking procedures, and ensuring accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and processing transactions efficiently.
- Support the management team by leading shifts, delegating tasks, and ensuring store operational standards are met.
- Train and mentor new team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain store visual merchandising standards, ensuring products are well-stocked, priced correctly, and appealingly displayed.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and report discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Act as a point of contact for colleagues and customers in the absence of senior management.
- Handle administrative tasks as required, including paperwork and basic reporting.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a retail environment (1+ year).
- Demonstrable experience in a key holder or supervisory capacity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and POS (Point of Sale) operations.
- High level of reliability and responsibility.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Retail Operations or Customer Service.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience with pharmacy or health & beauty retail.
