Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup of banquet rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, glassware, and decorations according to event specifications.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests efficiently and courteously, following established service standards and protocols.
  • Clear tables and banquet areas promptly and discreetly during and after events, ensuring cleanliness and guest comfort.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests with professionalism and a helpful attitude, escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary.
  • Ensure all service areas are kept clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout events, including replenishing supplies.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, senior waiters, and event coordinators to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with the breakdown of banquet areas and proper storage of equipment and supplies after events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager or Team Leader to ensure smooth operations and support the overall team goals.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-focused approach.
  • Ability to work efficiently and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure event environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience (6 months to 1 year) in a similar waiter or service role, preferably within a hotel or event setting.
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage service procedures and etiquette.
  • A hospitality-related certificate or diploma is an added advantage.
