KLM Photography Studio is seeking a highly motivated and creative Junior Photographer to join our vibrant team as an Assistant. Your day-to-day will be anything but mundane. You’ll be instrumental in preparing for various creative shoots, including fashion editorials, product campaigns, corporate portraits, and lifestyle content. This involves setting up lighting equipment, backdrops, props, and ensuring all gear is in pristine working condition. During shoots, you’ll assist with camera operation, adjusting settings, ensuring subjects are comfortable, and capturing behind-the-scenes content. Beyond the lens, you’ll delve into the initial stages of post-production, organizing files, performing basic culling, color correction, and retouching under guidance. This role is a fantastic opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of studio operations, client interaction, and the technical artistry required to produce high-quality photographs. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead photographers in setting up and breaking down studio and on-location equipment (cameras, lighting, backdrops, props).
  • Support during photoshoots, including adjusting lighting, posing subjects, and managing equipment.
  • Perform basic camera operation and capture supporting shots or behind-the-scenes content as directed.
  • Aid in post-production tasks such as image culling, file organization, basic retouching, and color correction using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
  • Maintain studio cleanliness and organization, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and functional.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions for upcoming projects and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Assist with social media content creation, including capturing snippets for reels and stories.
  • Research visual trends and techniques to enhance creative output and personal skill development.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed to ensure smooth studio operations.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of photography principles (composition, exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO).
  • Familiarity with DSLR or Mirrorless camera systems and basic lenses.
  • Proficiency in basic photo editing software, particularly Adobe Lightroom.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • A genuine passion for photography and visual arts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A portfolio showcasing personal photography projects (even amateur work is welcome).
