Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior masons with the preparation and mixing of mortar, concrete, and other construction materials according to specifications.
- Transport bricks, blocks, stones, and other materials to and from the work area efficiently and safely, ensuring proper stacking and storage.
- Clean and prepare work sites, ensuring all debris, excess materials, and tools are removed and organized regularly.
- Handle and maintain masonry tools and equipment, ensuring they are kept in good working condition, cleaned after use, and stored properly.
- Assist in setting up scaffolding, ladders, and other access equipment under direct supervision, adhering to safety protocols.
- Help in the measurement and cutting of materials such as rebar, blocks, or tiles as per project requirements.
- Support masons in the laying of bricks and blocks, ensuring alignment, levelness, and plumbness under guidance.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations, company policies, and best practices to maintain a secure and incident-free working environment.
- Perform general labor duties as required to support overall project progress, including digging, carrying, and clearing.
- Learn and apply new masonry techniques, construction practices, and material handling procedures under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, material shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors promptly.
