Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the accurate receiving, checking, and storage of incoming goods.
- Support the picking, packing, and dispatching of outgoing shipments according to company procedures.
- Help with regular inventory counts and maintain proper stock rotation and organization within the warehouse.
- Operate basic material handling equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) under supervision.
- Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Assist in loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Perform data entry for inventory management and shipping records as required.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve operational goals.
Required Skills
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills (ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move packages up to 25kg repeatedly.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE/WASSCE certificate; OND or equivalent qualification is a plus.
- Previous experience (even informal) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, data entry).
- Familiarity with inventory management principles.
- Proximity to Ikeja GRA, Ikeja.
