Job Description
As a Junior Inventory Keeper with a dedicated focus on Product Listing at GIG Logistics, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse operations, specifically pertaining to the preparation and management of products destined for online platforms. You will be responsible for the meticulous handling of incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring that all items are correctly received, stored, and accounted for within our system. A significant part of your role will involve preparing products for digital display, which includes thorough quality checking, precise categorization, and initial data capture necessary for creating compelling and accurate online product listings. You will work closely with both the warehouse and e-commerce teams to ensure a seamless flow of goods from physical storage to digital catalogs, directly impacting our customer’s online shopping experience and brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, noting any discrepancies.
- Accurately count, weigh, and measure items; document damages or shortages and report them promptly.
- Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
- Execute comprehensive product listing preparation, including cleaning, basic assembly (if required), and initial quality assurance checks.
- Capture essential product data (e.g., dimensions, weight, features, manufacturer details) for digital cataloging.
- Assist in taking high-quality product photographs or prepare items efficiently for professional photography sessions.
- Input and update inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS) and relevant product databases accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inventory counts (cycle counts and physical inventories) to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Identify and report slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged inventory for appropriate action.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, contributing to a secure workplace.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Required Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25kg, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new systems, processes, and technologies quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- An OND/HND/BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience (even informal, internship, or volunteer) in a warehouse, retail, or inventory management setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management software (WMS) or e-commerce platforms.
- Basic understanding of product photography principles or willingness to learn.
