Job Description

Olasor Fashion and Design invites a driven and eager Junior Fashion Intern to join our vibrant team in Gbagada, Lagos. As our Junior Fashion Intern, you will be immersed in the day-to-day operations of a professional fashion studio. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead designers with research for new collections, including mood boards, fabric sourcing, and trend analysis.
- Support in the creation of initial sketches and technical drawings for design concepts.
- Help with pattern cutting, basic pattern adjustments, and the preparation of fabric for samples.
- Assist with garment construction, sewing, and alterations under supervision.
- Organize and maintain the design studio, including fabric swatches, trim inventories, and pattern archives.
- Prepare materials and assist during fittings and photoshoots.
- Conduct quality checks on finished garments and assist with packaging.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the design team.
- Actively participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and learning from discussions.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for fashion and design.
- Basic knowledge of fashion terminology and design principles.
- Proficiency in sketching and drawing by hand.
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (basic level is acceptable).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and able to take initiative.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or certificate program in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field.
- Basic sewing and garment construction skills.
