Job Description

GIG Logistics is actively seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Delivery Riders to join our rapidly expanding team. As a Junior Delivery Rider, you will be the face of GIG Logistics on the streets, playing a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their packages promptly and safely. Your daily tasks will involve picking up parcels from our Ojodu experience center or designated collection points and delivering them to various locations within Ojodu, Ikeja, and surrounding areas. We are looking for individuals who are not only skilled riders but also possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to punctuality. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick up and deliver packages, documents, and other items to designated locations within Ojodu, Ikeja, and nearby areas.
- Ensure all deliveries are made safely, securely, and within specified timeframes.
- Verify contents of packages and obtain appropriate signatures upon delivery and pickup.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including timestamps and recipient details.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members regarding delivery status or any potential issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety regulations while on duty.
- Perform routine checks on your motorcycle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records where required.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Rider's Permit/License
- Ownership of a reliable motorcycle in good working condition
- Excellent knowledge of Ojodu, Ikeja, and surrounding Lagos routes
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift moderate weights
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (SSCE)
- Previous experience as a delivery rider, even informally
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and mobile applications
- A track record of punctuality and commitment
