Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior cooks and chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping ingredients.
  • Follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately to maintain consistent quality and taste.
  • Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., blenders, mixers, ovens, fryers) under supervision.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of food items to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in portioning and plating dishes for both restaurant service and catering events.
  • Support inventory management by reporting low stock levels of ingredients.
  • Participate in daily kitchen cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and clearing waste.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
  • Learn and adapt to new cooking techniques and menu items as required.
