Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support senior controllers in variance analysis, identifying discrepancies and trends in financial data.
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., IFRS/US GAAP).
  • Participate in the development and improvement of financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and insights for reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by management for strategic decision-making.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems and tools.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, advanced formulas).
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Hebrew and English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • High level of integrity and a commitment to ethical financial practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience in a finance or accounting department within a corporate setting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • Basic knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
  • Demonstrated interest in the pharmaceutical industry or a similar complex, regulated sector.
