You will be responsible for operating our advanced Point of Sale (POS) system, accurately processing various payment methods including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments, and issuing correct change and receipts. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process all customer transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including scanning items, entering prices, and applying discounts.
- Handle various forms of payment, such as cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments, ensuring accuracy in change given and transaction recording.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area, ensuring supplies are stocked and equipment is functional.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly, assisting with inquiries, and resolving minor issues professionally and efficiently.
- Process returns, exchanges, and voids in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring all transactions balance.
- Promote store loyalty programs or special offers to customers as directed.
- Adhere to all store security policies and procedures to prevent losses.
Required Skills
- Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and change calculation.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently (training provided).
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and transactions.
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
