Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning and sanitizing duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene.
- Empty waste bins and recycling receptacles, transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, including high-touch points.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners.
- Monitor and restock supplies in restrooms and common areas as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure all areas are secured upon completion of duties, if required.
Required Skills
- Proven reliability and punctuality for scheduled night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 25 lbs, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and proper use of cleaning agents.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional janitorial or commercial cleaning experience.
- Experience operating various commercial cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, auto scrubbers).
- WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain it.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
