Job Description
Bee-Clean Building Maintenance is actively seeking dedicated and reliable Janitorial Night Attendants for immediate hire in Brampton, Ontario. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments. As a Janitorial Night Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our client facilities are impeccably maintained during off-peak hours, contributing directly to the health, safety, and productivity of their occupants.
Your primary duties will involve a comprehensive range of cleaning tasks, performed independently and efficiently. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adhere to established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines. The night shift offers a consistent schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic for those who thrive in an autonomous environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, including fixtures, floors, and replenishing supplies.
- Empty waste bins and transport trash to designated disposal areas.
- Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
- Spot clean carpets, remove stains, and polish metal fixtures.
- Operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., floor buffers, vacuums).
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to supervisors.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure security of client premises during shift by properly locking up and reporting any irregularities.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks as required, such as changing lightbulbs.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality for night shifts.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment operation.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and safety guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in commercial or industrial cleaning.
- Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (asset for multi-site roles).
