Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and emptying trash receptacles.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and other common areas to the highest standards.
  • Wipe down surfaces, door handles, and light switches to prevent the spread of germs.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to a supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with clients and colleagues.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within specified timeframes and to quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application (training provided).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in janitorial, commercial cleaning, or a similar role.
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (an asset for multi-site assignments).
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • WHMIS certification (training can be provided).
