Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping floors in designated areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and restocking supplies.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to disposal areas.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Wipe down and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, and furniture.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to supervisor.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any issues or concerns.
- Ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standards, paying close attention to detail.
Required Skills
- Proven reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial, commercial, or residential cleaning.
- Familiarity with various cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Valid G Class Driver's License and access to reliable transportation (for potential multi-site work).
- Knowledge of WHMIS regulations.
