Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained.
- Empty waste bins and transport trash and waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Replenish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and other supplies.
- Respond to urgent cleaning requests or spills during the shift.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning (minimum 6 months).
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
- Excellent communication skills (English).
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques (e.g., stripping, waxing, buffing).
- Experience with various cleaning equipment and machinery.
- WHMIS certification.
