Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring a high level of hygiene and stocking supplies.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Replenish supplies in designated areas (e.g., restrooms, break rooms).
- Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Handle and dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with established guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and carrying for extended periods.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a janitorial or commercial cleaning role.
- Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
- Familiarity with various cleaning equipment and techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
