Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting to support business unit objectives.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management, providing clear and concise insights into performance.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess investment opportunities, project profitability, and analyze market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, understand business requirements, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, providing critical support for planning and resource allocation.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies in financial data, implementing solutions to improve data integrity and reporting efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments that may impact financial performance and strategy.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives aimed at improving financial processes, systems, and controls.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling) and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance concepts.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA designation or enrollment in the CFA program.
- Experience with financial software and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Tableau, Alteryx).
- Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration (MBA).
- Experience within the financial services industry, particularly in banking or wealth management.
