Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business needs.
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and data models for development teams.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements.
- Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and execute test plans, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and manage defect resolution to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Support project managers in planning, tracking, and reporting project status, risks, and issues.
- Research and analyze industry best practices and regulatory requirements to inform solution design and ensure compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specification documents (FSDs), and training materials.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and systems.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, surveys).
- Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and diagramming techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP, CFA).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with financial instruments, markets, and regulatory environments (e.g., AML, KYC, Capital Markets).
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
