Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software for end-users.
  • Assist employees with account setup, password resets, and access permissions.
  • Diagnose and resolve common IT problems, escalating complex issues to senior technicians or specialized teams as needed.
  • Document all support activities, resolutions, and configurations in our ticketing system.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assist with procurement processes.
  • Ensure security protocols and best practices are followed for all IT assets.
  • Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades or new technology rollouts, under supervision.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, helpful attitude towards all users.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated on new technologies and best practices in IT support.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed or pursuing a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Fundamentals).
  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools or ticketing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN).
  • Previous experience in a customer service or support role (even non-IT related).
  • Proficiency in Latvian is a plus, but not required.
