Indiana Beverage is actively seeking a skilled IT Technician – Remote Service to enhance our robust information technology team. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive remote technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, and remote desktop tools for all hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and efficiently resolve issues pertaining to operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS), Microsoft 365 productivity suites, specialized business applications, and mobile devices.
  • Perform remote installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of computing hardware (laptops, desktops, printers) and various software applications.
  • Assist with network connectivity challenges, VPN setup, and conduct basic monitoring of server health and performance.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within Active Directory and other critical systems.
  • Accurately document all support interactions, resolutions, and system changes within the designated ticketing system.
  • Educate users on IT best practices, security awareness, and self-help techniques to prevent future issues and promote digital literacy.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior IT staff on more intricate problems and projects, escalating issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in IT asset management activities, including tracking inventory, deployment, and decommissioning of equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current IT trends, emerging security threats, and new technologies relevant to the beverage distribution industry.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role.
  • Proficiency in remote diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques across various platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and adherence to IT service management (ITSM) best practices.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon into clear, understandable terms for non-technical users.
  • Superior problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a remote work environment.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation, patience, and professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar.
  • Prior experience specifically in a remote IT support role, managing distributed users.
  • Familiarity with specific remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, ConnectWise Control, AnyDesk).
  • Basic understanding of server administration principles and virtualization concepts (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
