Job Description

We are actively seeking a talented and dedicated IT Security Analyst to join our growing technology team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security systems for anomalies, alerts, and incidents, initiating timely response procedures.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Participate in security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
  • Assist in the selection, deployment, and management of security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
  • Conduct security awareness training and provide guidance to employees on best security practices.
  • Collaborate with IT operations, development, and business teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal security requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, CCPA).
  • Generate comprehensive reports on security posture, incidents, and remediation efforts for management.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in an IT Security Analyst or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of information security principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Proficiency in identifying and mitigating common security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
  • Familiarity with network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GIAC certifications).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, or HIPAA.
  • Experience in an e-commerce or retail environment.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
