Job Description

Are you a skilled IT Project Manager based in the United States, eager to broaden your horizons and take on a new challenge in Canada? Rackspace Technology is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Alberta, Canada. This unique opportunity is specifically tailored for American citizens who are eligible for and interested in obtaining a TN Visa to work in Canada. As an IT Project Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing complex infrastructure, software development, and cloud migration projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will navigate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive project success in a fast-paced technological environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure, adhering to established methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress against baselines and adjusting as necessary.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in IT project management.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in risk management, budget management, and quality assurance.
  • Eligibility for TN Visa as a US citizen (relevant professional category such as Computer Systems Analyst or Management Consultant).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certification (CSM, PSM).
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and IT infrastructure projects.
  • Previous experience working on international projects or with diverse, cross-cultural teams.
