Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system records, identifying and investigating discrepancies.
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments of goods, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed.
- Prepare and process outgoing orders, ensuring correct items and quantities are picked, packed, and dispatched in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory databases, updating records for all stock movements, transfers, and adjustments using relevant inventory management software.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory replenishment, highlighting potential shortages or overstocks to management.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse and storage areas for maximum efficiency, cleanliness, and safety.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management, providing insights into stock performance and trends.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, if certified and required (training may be provided).
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk, Stock Keeper, or similar role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) specific to inventory modules.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical or medical supplies distribution processes.
- Forklift operator certification.
