Key Responsibilities
- Receive, count, and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders and invoices.
- Accurately record all inventory movements, including transfers, sales, and returns, into the inventory management system.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Identify and investigate inventory variances, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor stock levels and identify items needing reordering to prevent stockouts.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom and storage areas for efficiency and safety.
- Prepare periodic inventory reports for management.
- Collaborate with store management and department heads to optimize inventory processes.
- Assist with preparing merchandise for display and sales floor replenishment.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and sanitation guidelines.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to perform basic mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with computers and data entry; experience with inventory software is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
