Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and driven Intuit Accountant to join our dynamic team in Longueuil, Quebec, with an immediate start. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Intuit QuickBooks software (Desktop and Online).
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee general ledger operations, perform timely reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts, and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and file various tax returns, including GST/HST, QST, corporate income tax, and personal income tax, leveraging Intuit TurboTax and other professional tax preparation tools.
- Provide expert advice and support to clients or internal departments on complex accounting matters, financial reporting, and the effective utilization of Intuit products for optimal financial management.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure financial accuracy, and maintain strict compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, support budgeting processes, and assist in forecasting to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate seamlessly with external auditors during year-end audits, providing all necessary documentation, explanations, and support to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Stay meticulously current with changes in Canadian accounting standards, tax laws, and all Intuit product updates to ensure continuous compliance and leverage new features.
- Assist in the continuous improvement and automation of accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the organization.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- CPA designation (or actively pursuing and nearing completion) in Canada.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive, hands-on experience in an accounting role.
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency and practical experience with Intuit QuickBooks Desktop and Online versions.
- Strong, verifiable experience with Intuit TurboTax or other professional tax preparation software.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian accounting principles (ASPE) and federal/provincial tax regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
- Mandatory bilingualism (French and English) to effectively communicate with stakeholders in Longueuil, Quebec.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.

- Experience gained within a public accounting firm, serving a diverse client base.
- Specific certifications or advanced training relevant to Intuit products or cloud accounting solutions.
