Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line and second-line technical support for Intel-based desktops, laptops, servers, and related peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, including operating system problems (Windows, Linux) and application malfunctions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Intel hardware components and software drivers, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Perform routine system checks, updates, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance, security, and stability.
  • Document all support activities, resolutions, and configurations in the ticketing system accurately and thoroughly.
  • Collaborate with senior technical staff and other specialized teams to escalate and resolve complex or advanced issues when necessary.
  • Educate users on best practices for hardware and software usage to prevent future issues and promote self-sufficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with new technologies, support methodologies, and Intel product advancements.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive knowledge base and procedural documentation.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with clients regarding the status of their support requests, providing regular updates.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a technical support or help desk role.
  • Strong understanding of Intel processor architectures, chipsets, and related components.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and common business applications.
  • Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic network troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with hardware diagnostics, component identification, and replacement (RAM, storage, GPUs, motherboards).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.

  • Basic knowledge of server hardware, RAID configurations, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience supporting remote users and utilizing remote desktop support tools.
