Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for security alerts and anomalies.
- Perform initial triage, investigation, and incident response for detected security incidents, including malware analysis, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Develop and implement security controls, policies, and procedures to enhance Intel’s overall security posture.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT, network, and development teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all phases of system development and operation.
- Generate detailed incident reports and provide recommendations for remediation and prevention of future incidents.
- Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a cybersecurity role, specifically in incident response, security operations, or threat analysis.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security principles.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.
- Familiarity with common attack vectors, security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), and penetration testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GIAC certifications.
