Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs, optical comparators) to verify product conformity and accuracy.
- Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including non-conformances, using designated software and reporting systems.
- Initiate non-conformance reports (NCRs) for defective materials or products and assist in root cause analysis with engineering and production teams.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality issues promptly and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring its accuracy, proper functioning, and readiness for use.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, cleanroom procedures (if applicable), and all company quality management system requirements.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality.
- Conduct periodic audits of production processes to ensure ongoing compliance with established quality control procedures and standards.
- Provide constructive feedback and training to production personnel on quality standards, best practices, and the importance of defect prevention.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in a manufacturing, electronics, or semiconductor environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Proficiency in using a variety of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, systematic approach to inspection tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately identify, evaluate, and report defects.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with data entry, spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel), and quality management systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Fundamental understanding of quality management systems and principles (e.g., ISO 9001).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in a technical field such as Quality Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certifications in Quality Control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector – CQI, or equivalent).
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), lean manufacturing principles, or other quality improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience specifically within semiconductor manufacturing or related high-tech industries.
- Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions.
