Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, applying effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
- Execute repairs and replacements of defective parts, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and technical specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify and resolve potential hazards or malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and service schedules, using digital systems.
- Collaborate effectively with production teams, engineering, and other departments to schedule maintenance tasks and support operational needs without disrupting workflow.
- Assist in the installation, relocation, and setup of new equipment and machinery as required, ensuring proper integration and calibration.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards (e.g., Lockout/Tagout procedures).
- Manage and organize maintenance inventory, including tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, safety, reliability, and overall performance of operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or technology-related environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read and accurately interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping, work order systems, and maintenance software.
- Unwavering commitment to workplace safety and strict adherence to all safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade certification or diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g., Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical Technician).
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, automation, or specialized electronics manufacturing equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations specific to industrial environments (e.g., WHMIS, confined space entry).
- Prior experience working in a cleanroom or controlled environment setting.
- Forklift operator certification or similar heavy equipment operation experience.
