Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our innovative team in Fort Worth, Texas. As an Intel Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering and research efforts by performing hands-on laboratory tasks, conducting experiments, and maintaining sophisticated equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on assembly, setup, and calibration of complex test equipment and experimental apparatus.
- Execute detailed test plans and procedures for semiconductor devices, components, and systems.
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory instruments, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and specialized semiconductor test equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on lab equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist engineers in the development and refinement of new test methodologies and processes.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and observations thoroughly and clearly.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering supplies and ensuring proper stock levels.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and quality standards within the laboratory environment.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and other technicians.
Required Skills
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in electronics, semiconductors, or a related high-tech industry.
- Proficiency in operating and calibrating standard lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for working with small components and intricate setups.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and electronic components.
- Excellent data collection, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes or characterization techniques.
