Your responsibilities will encompass the entire hardware development lifecycle, including architectural definition, RTL design using industry-standard hardware description languages (HDLs), simulation, synthesis, static timing analysis, power analysis, and crucial post-silicon validation and debug. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, firmware developers, validation specialists, and manufacturing partners, to deliver integrated solutions that meet stringent performance, power, and area targets. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex digital logic using Hardware Description Languages (HDLs) such as Verilog/VHDL.
- Perform RTL design, synthesis, and static timing analysis for various hardware components.
- Conduct comprehensive simulations and functional verification to ensure design correctness.
- Collaborate with architects, software engineers, and validation teams to define specifications and integrate hardware with firmware/software.
- Participate in silicon bring-up, post-silicon debug, and performance characterization.
- Contribute to power analysis, optimization, and floor planning activities.
- Document design specifications, verification plans, and test results.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the design lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital logic design and hardware development.
- Proficiency in HDLs (Verilog, SystemVerilog) and industry-standard EDA tools.
- Strong understanding of digital design principles, computer architecture, and microprocessors.
- Experience with simulation, synthesis, static timing analysis, and power analysis tools.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex hardware issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Experience with Intel architecture or other complex SoC designs.
- Knowledge of advanced verification methodologies (e.g., UVM).
- Familiarity with FPGA prototyping and emulation platforms.
- Experience with high-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, DDR).
- Understanding of physical design and layout considerations.
