Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses across various business units and financial products.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance quantitative and qualitative risk models and methodologies.
- Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and perform regular reporting on the company’s risk exposure.
- Prepare detailed risk reports, presentations, and dashboards for management and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriting, claims, finance, and actuarial teams, to integrate risk considerations into business processes.
- Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management and the insurance sector.
- Assist in the identification and assessment of emerging risks and opportunities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management, financial analysis, or a related analytical role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), and experience with SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex risk concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Solid understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or advanced certification (e.g., FRM, CFA candidacy) in a relevant field.
- Experience with specialized risk management software or GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of property and casualty insurance products and operations.
- Proven track record of contributing to the development and implementation of risk frameworks.
