As an Insurance Agent, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to policy presentation, closing sales, and providing exceptional post-sales customer service. You will become an expert in our diverse product portfolio, including life insurance, health insurance, property insurance, motor insurance, and more, tailoring recommendations to meet client-specific requirements. This role demands a proactive approach to building a robust client base, nurturing long-term relationships, and consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets. You will educate potential clients on the benefits of various insurance products, clarify policy terms, and guide them through the application process.

Beyond sales, you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through complex policy information, assisting with claims inquiries, renewal processes, and ensuring their overall satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new sales leads through various channels including networking, referrals, and community engagement.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate insurance products.
  • Present, promote, and sell insurance policies using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Handle customer complaints and queries, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within set time limits.
  • Prepare reports on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in sales or customer service, preferably in financial services or insurance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and foster long-term relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
  • Resilience and a positive attitude towards challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Membership or working towards membership with the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) or other relevant professional bodies.
  • Previous experience as an insurance agent or financial advisor.
  • Familiarity with the Uyo and Akwa Ibom market dynamics.
