In this pivotal role, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through the entire insurance journey from initial policy selection to efficient claims resolution. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive consultations with new and existing clients to identify insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options.
  • Process new insurance policies, renewals, and policy amendments accurately and efficiently, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Assist clients with claims procedures, providing clear guidance, collecting necessary information, and liaising with insurers to facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Maintain detailed client records and policy information using our internal systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Respond to client enquiries via phone, email, and in-person, offering expert advice and exceptional customer service.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling additional insurance products to meet evolving client needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, product knowledge, and market trends to provide informed advice.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and other team members to resolve complex policy or claims issues.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA guidelines).

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1.5 years (18 months) experience in an insurance advisory, sales, or administrative role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and strong relationships with clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with CRM software.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with tact.
  • Basic understanding of insurance principles, policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) qualification or working towards it.
  • Previous experience working within an independent insurance brokerage.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales and service targets.
  • Familiarity with local Hoylake/Wirral market demographics and client needs.
