Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and verify the authenticity of travel documents (passports, visas, etc.) presented by individuals entering or exiting Nigeria.
  • Conduct thorough screening and interviewing of travelers to ascertain their identity, purpose of travel, and compliance with immigration laws.
  • Identify, detain, and process individuals suspected of irregular migration, human trafficking, smuggling, or other cross-border offenses.
  • Enforce all relevant immigration laws, policies, and international conventions.
  • Maintain accurate records of arrivals and departures, and prepare detailed reports on incidents and operations.
  • Operate and monitor advanced security equipment and systems at border control points.
  • Collaborate effectively with other security agencies, both national and international, to enhance border security and intelligence sharing.
  • Provide clear and concise information and assistance to legitimate travelers.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to stay updated with best practices and emerging threats.
  • Adhere strictly to professional ethics, codes of conduct, and service regulations.
