Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated, disciplined, and dedicated individuals to join the Nigeria Immigration Service as Immigration Officers specializing in Government/Border Control. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify the authenticity of travel documents (passports, visas, etc.) presented by individuals entering or exiting Nigeria.
- Conduct thorough screening and interviewing of travelers to ascertain their identity, purpose of travel, and compliance with immigration laws.
- Identify, detain, and process individuals suspected of irregular migration, human trafficking, smuggling, or other cross-border offenses.
- Enforce all relevant immigration laws, policies, and international conventions.
- Maintain accurate records of arrivals and departures, and prepare detailed reports on incidents and operations.
- Operate and monitor advanced security equipment and systems at border control points.
- Collaborate effectively with other security agencies, both national and international, to enhance border security and intelligence sharing.
- Provide clear and concise information and assistance to legitimate travelers.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to stay updated with best practices and emerging threats.
- Adhere strictly to professional ethics, codes of conduct, and service regulations.
