Job Description
IBM is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in the vibrant Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our HR functions, providing crucial support across various employee lifecycle stages. As an HR Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our HR services, contributing to a positive employee experience by managing administrative tasks, supporting HR programs, and acting as a point of contact for employee inquiries. You will work closely with HR Business Partners, specialists, and employees to maintain accurate HR records, assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, and facilitate effective communication regarding HR policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate employee records and HR databases (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors), ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist with the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring a seamless integration experience.
- Support offboarding procedures, including exit interviews, documentation, and coordination with relevant departments.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, escalating complex issues to appropriate HR specialists when necessary.
- Coordinate HR-related meetings, events, and training sessions, including scheduling, venue booking, and material preparation.
- Prepare HR reports and presentations as required, assisting with data analysis for various HR initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling interviews, managing calendars, and processing expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and company policies in all HR administrative activities.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role.
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS), preferably Workday or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with local (Louisiana) and federal employment laws.
- Experience working in a large, global corporate environment.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
