Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated data collection, cleaning, transformation, and analysis processes for large, complex datasets from disparate sources.
- Create, update, and manage interactive reports, dynamic dashboards, and insightful data visualizations using industry-leading tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or IBM Cognos Analytics.
- Conduct in-depth statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and develop predictive models to identify key trends, patterns, and anomalies, translating findings into actionable business insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business units, IT teams, and other analytical experts to meticulously define data requirements, analytical objectives, and performance metrics.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations of analytical findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and executive-level non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure the highest levels of data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and security across all analytical projects and reporting systems.
- Actively contribute to the enhancement of data governance policies, data quality frameworks, and data stewardship best practices.
- Proactively research and stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging analytical techniques, new data science methodologies, and evolving technologies.
- Support ad-hoc data analysis requests and provide expert consultation on data-related queries to various departments.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Expert proficiency in SQL for advanced data extraction, manipulation, and optimization.
- Proven experience with at least one leading data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis, including regression, classification, and time series analysis.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Superior verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a collaborative team.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis, pivot tables, and macros.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a closely related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Applied Statistics).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for advanced data analysis and scripting.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated services.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and NoSQL databases.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Data Analyst, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
- Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
