Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical distribution systems, substation equipment, and control systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults in a timely and efficient manner.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide repair and maintenance activities.
- Conduct safety inspections and adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Document all maintenance and repair work accurately, maintaining detailed records of equipment performance and service history.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and unplanned outages, providing effective solutions under pressure.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and other technicians to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Operate and maintain a variety of specialized tools, testing equipment, and vehicles.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with technological advancements and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in the utilities or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment, transformers, and switchgear.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems.
