Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, components, and layouts for transmission and distribution infrastructure.
  • Perform complex power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and protective relay coordination analyses.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates for projects.
  • Ensure all designs and modifications comply with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC), safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field crews, and other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 12 months.
