Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage HR policies and programs aligned with organizational goals and values.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to management and employees on all HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee recruitment and selection processes, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.
  • Manage compensation and benefits administration, ensuring competitive and equitable practices.
  • Lead and facilitate organizational development initiatives, including training, development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant provincial and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide data-driven insights to improve HR effectiveness and employee engagement.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management or senior advisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario and Canadian employment law and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CHRP/CHRL designation (Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader).
  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Experience within the financial services or insurance industry.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
