ScottishPower is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our dedicated People & Culture team in Glasgow. This role is crucial in supporting our strategic objectives by ensuring we attract, develop, and retain top talent, while championing a positive and productive work environment. As an HR Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with our business goals, driving employee engagement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all employment legislation. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance to managers and employees.
- Oversee and enhance talent acquisition and recruitment processes, from sourcing to onboarding.
- Lead performance management cycles, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
- Identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs to foster employee growth.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation.
- Develop and manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring clear communication and consistent application.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Provide expert HR advice and support to department heads and senior management.
- Analyse HR metrics and data to identify trends and recommend strategic improvements.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives across the wider Iberdrola group as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar senior HR role (minimum 5 years).
- In-depth knowledge of Scottish and UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Demonstrable experience in employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Strong ethical compass and commitment to confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Experience within the energy, utilities, or a heavily regulated industry.
- Experience with change management and organisational development.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop junior HR staff.
- Familiarity with global HR practices due to international group affiliation.
